About
Ian Aprile is a Phoenix, Arizona musician, pianist and keyboardist who is building a career as a songwriter and composer of lyrics and rhythm. A graduate of the Arizona School for the Arts, where he played piano and keyboard with the school band and as a solo performer, he continues his training today with weekly keyboard lessons at School of Rock in Goodyear.
Ian is driven: once he sets a goal, he achieves it. Adaptable, flexible and goal oriented, he keeps a steady daily exercise routine and has broadened his outlook through travel to Peru, Ireland and Spain. His aim is to write and compose songs, lyrics and rhythms, and to perform professionally as a pianist and keyboard player.
Music
His voice was trained in the Grammy-winning Phoenix Boys Choir, where he sang with the Masters and Tour choirs and performed in concerts such as Violins of Hope and Voices of Valor at Phoenix's Memorial Hall. In 2019, at thirteen, he traveled with the choir on a concert tour of Germany and Austria, his first experience on an international stage.
Ian composes and produces his own music in FL Studio, the professional production platform, and keeps refining a growing collection of original tracks, including "Parasite." He is an active member of an online artists' community, where he offers thoughtful feedback on other musicians' songs and connects new writers with the group, showing a collaborative and generous approach to his craft.
Chess
Away from the keyboard, Ian is a member of the US Chess Federation who competes in rated tournaments across the Phoenix area, including the Arizona Presidents' Day Classic, the Phoenix Open and the Rising Star series, and in 2026 he earned a tournament prize. Chess sharpens the same strengths he brings to music: strategy, patience, pattern recognition and calm under pressure.
